| One of the
primary reasons which leads an individual to seek a doctor or another health
professional is physical, emotional or mental pain.
Most people go in search of something that will alleviate or suppress, as fast as possible, their suffering. They demand a cure from the therapist. They demand a magical re-establishment of well-being- in the easiest, smoothest and quickest way possible. The Doctor image is unconsciously linked to the image of God's representative on earth. He/she possesses power over the life and death of any being existing on the face of the earth. Facing this situation, the patient adopts a rather passive stance, and does not participate in his/her own healing process. The patient gives the doctor all of the responsibility of re-establishing health. The doctor takes on this function as healing agent, wears the image of omnipotence and begins to believe that he/she can really cure. After all, what is healing? To the great majority of doctors and patients, to become or remain healed is to not show any sign or symptom associated with that disease which prompted the individual to seek the therapist in the first place. Illness is something healthy- it is the path we need to follow in order to achieve healing or health. Through illness, we can get in touch with our essence, with the movement of life and death. We can reflect on our moment and quality of life. From this reflection and deeper contact with our self, we have the possibility of transforming, transmuting and transcending to a new energy platform. This is known as Quantum Leap. This is the only way to achieve health. It is within reach of the individual, inside his/her body. The body signals through illness what is in disharmony. It expresses its carelessness with itself, or the lack of connection with and respect for itself. The non-acceptance of the Self and the difficulty in giving up certain determined life standards leads the individual to continue to repeat the attitudes which, in a way, contribute to the development of theillness and, as the attitudes become chronic, increasingly affect the deeper and more noble organs. The basic function of any therapist is not to cure but to educate, mirror, show the individual what is happening, what the meaning of the illness is, of that sign or symptom. To help the individual become conscious of his/her life process and of the responsibility to himself/herself. To help uncover the mechanisms the individual creates to become ill, as this becomes the only way to self-discovery. The Way to achieve a harmonious and healthy state is basically linked to the issue of self-acceptance so that the person can then disengage himself/herself from the old patterns of thoughts and attitudes.
In order
to be healthy, it is necessary to rescue the simplicity of life, to get
rid of all the excess load. In the evolutionary process, humans increasingly
distanced themselves from their surrounding nature and from themselves.
Today we no longer know whether it's going to rain or not, we don't know
how to prepare ourselves for each season of the year, we don't know what
we really need to eat, drink, wear, breathe, how to relate, respect, love,
sense, and feel everything. The Author: |
