To influence the action of public politics that provide social change for women and to eliminate the strong existing discrimination between gender, race, and the impoverished within Brazilian society.

Inside of this perspective, CEDOICOM has executed numerous projects looking to reach the following objectives:

  • To contribute towards the reduction in poverty levels and for a just distribution of socioeconomic opportunities for impoverished Negra girls and women.

  • To contribute towards the social reinsertion as well as prevention of relapse of inmates within the criminal system.

  • To prevent systematic violence against women and girls assuring the respect and equal treatment between men and women, boys and girls.

  • To work towards the needs of the young, the equality of gender and race, a culture of peace, dialogue between generations and the prevention of HIV/AIDS and STI's.

  • To construct a space of reflection and political action for adolescents, prioritizing discussions about the multiple forms of discrimination: racial and socioeconomic.

  • To contribute an accomplished set of studies, documents, research, courses, training and partnered educative activities that attend to the interests of suppressed women.

  • To promote the insertion and inter-exchange of activities with other documentation centers and women's networks on a national and international level through the participation in activities directed to the questions surrounding sex, race, gender and class.
